Infected pore or something worse?

Hi. I recently found a very small knot in my back just behind my left shoulder. What it has been described to me as looking like (i can't see it myself) is an infected pore. It resembled a small blackhead indented into the pore itself.





Through frequent poking i managed to pop it like a pimple, There was a buildup of puss behind it. Should i see a doctor or am i just worrying too much?Infected pore or something worse?
Sounds like the beginnings of an acne problem. Try switching to an antibacterial soap for your showers, like Dial or Safeguard. You can buy some PersaGel over the counter and apply it to the area. It will soften the plug and kill bacteria as well. You're really not supposed to pop those things on your own, you will damage the skin and cause scarring. If the problem persists you may need to see a Dermatologist. He will prescribe a treatment of antibiotics, topical creams, and sometimes even UV therapy. The also have tools they use to remove plugs in the pores without causing damage.


But first I would try the antibacterial soap, keep you body and clothing clean as possible and that will minimize the opportunity for pores to get clogged in the first place.Infected pore or something worse?
