Do you ';pore'; through books or ';pour'; through books?

At first I was sure it was one and not the other, but I've seen it so many times both ways now that I'm beginning to get confused!Do you ';pore'; through books or ';pour'; through books?
I pore through my books while sweat pours out my pores. :)Do you ';pore'; through books or ';pour'; through books?
I love to pore over ICT texts in my room till the wee hours of the morning. My only regret is I have poured coffee all over them at least twice this month! Report Abuse

Pore is correct.





It's an intransitive verb, and it means to read something carefully.
I ';pore'; through books while acing a dry martini or some red wine; while ';pouring'; some more of my favorite libation. :0)
