Is the cost of living in Singapore high?is it the same as Malaysia? What can SGD100 buy in S'pore?

Robert Johnson is rightIs the cost of living in Singapore high?is it the same as Malaysia? What can SGD100 buy in S'pore?
Hi, first of all your question is too narrowed. Would have been better if you could have specified it much better with more details. When compared with Malaysia, obviously Singapore's cost of living is high. Its confirm not the same as Malaysia. Well, for $100 you can buy many things. But you mean things like what? If you take food, just for $100, you can get 20 meals. Considering you dont spend more than $5 per meal. And likewise, things are like that. A pack of cigarette costs $11.60 here. So thats much a difference when compared with Malaysia's cigarette price. But the Singapore land immigration checkpoints have become so strict that you must declare those contraband cigarettes otherwise, you can be fined or imprisoned or both. So thats the overall scenario. Is the cost of living in Singapore high?is it the same as Malaysia? What can SGD100 buy in S'pore?
Cost of Living depends on one's lifestyle. If you want a basic lifestyle e.g. a small car, house, coffeeshops and locally produced goods and basic items (milk, rice, petrol), Malaysia has a lower cost of living. But if you are going to buy a Mercedes, insist on buying imported stuff, Starbucks, dining out at restaurants every night, then I would consider to have a lower cost of living (earning power is stronger while prices are similar)

SGD100 can buy you 50 plates of $2 chicken rice.
You are comparing apples and oranges. Both countries are NOT the same.

Firstly, note the currency difference.
the answer is yes. not same as Malaysia. well u can buy many things which are under SGD100. maybe some clothes, food, books, etc.
